Municipalities and Brownfield Redevelopment

EnviroForensics® offers a unique multidisciplinary approach to municipal and brownfield redevelopment by working with property owners, local governments and associated redevelopment agencies to target blighted areas and assess redevelopment assets. These assets are determined through identification of historical owners and operators that have caused environmental contamination; while also considering their resources, including their historical insurance coverage, which may pay for site investigation, restoration (including remediation), and subsequent redevelopment of these blighted properties.

EnviroForensics® uses proprietary Environmental Claims ManagementSM strategy to inventory the brownfields, prepare cleanup cost estimates, identify responsible parties, and assess the assets of those responsible parties and their ability to pay for site investigations and cleanups. We have successfully resolved environmental claims against bankrupt entities, defunct corporations and the estates of deceased individuals.

EnviroForensics® has facilitated the resolution of complex environmental problems at little to no cost to the communities and the property owners. These efforts have required the combination of a full array of EnviroForensics® skills including those of engineers, scientists, risk managers, actuaries, investigators, insurance archeologists and property transfer specialists. Our extensive qualifications and breadth of experience enable us to resolve the most challenging projects involving political, technical, regulatory, legal, and financial issues.
